Synopsis

Known best for his radical collaborations with Godard in the Dziga Vertov Group, filmmaker Jean-Pierre Gorin eventually moved on to make less-militant film essays. Filmed in San Diego, Poto and Cabengo (1980, 73 mins.), tells the story of a pair of twins, Grace and Virginia, who made headlines for inventing their own language. "Poto" and "Cabengo" share screen time with their parents, therapists, linguists, and the filmmakers in a very unconventional documentary.
