Synopsis

Sam Mendes, the maestro of American upper-middle-class malaise, directs this relatively light road movie/dramedy about a young, indie couple--The Office's John Krasinski and SNL's Maya Rudolph--trying to find "the perfect place" to call home before the arrival of their first child. Based on a script by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida.

There are people in in this world - any you probably know some of them - who should not have children but do. Then there are people who should have children, but don't. Then there are people who should have children and do have children. 'Away We Go' explores all three types. John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph play a couple expecting a baby. For reasons which I will not give away, they embark on a road trip, visiting friends and family and encountering the aforementioned three types of people, and questioning their ability to parent, and what makes a parent. I don't have children, and liked this movie. People with children will probably love this movie, and then they should tell their children they love them - and mean it.

No plot. Disjointed and uninteresting people and subjects. No entertainment value.
