Synopsis

The complete, uncensored version of one of Dario Argento's most frightening and graphic films--seen mainly in the U.S. under the title Unsane, with ten minutes cut. The story concerns an American mystery writer (Anthony Franciosa) who travels to Rome to promote his latest book. Soon after his arrival, a series of bloody killings begins that mirrors the murders in his novel. Argento and cinematographer Luciano Tovoli (The Passenger, Th e Mystery of Oberwald) bring an unusual, bright lighting strategy to much o f this imaginatively creepy film. John Saxon co-stars. Dubbed in English, with most of the English-speaking actors supplying their own lines. Dario Argento---Italy---1982---101 mins.
