Synopsis

A revolutionary film from a revolutionary era. Playing on Marshall McLuhan's phrase, "the cool medium," Haskell Wexler uses a TV cameraman as the eyes through which the 1968 Chicago Democratic convention riots are viewed. The narrative of the film is intertwined with actual footage from the riots, reinventing what the term "docu-drama" really means. Starring Robert Forster Haskell Wexler---USA---1969---110 mins.
