Features wonderful turns by an unexpectedly forceful Roland Young (best remembered as the bumbling milquetoast Cosmo Topper) and Ralph Richardson before he adopted his mannered and annoying delivery, plus an accomplished supporting players. Pretty good special effects. Although billed as a fantasy, film deals with serious issues. I would have rated it higher if the wrap-up didn't seem like a cop out: "Let's give mankind a chance because he may improve incrementally."
