Certified classic with all the bells and whistles. Great soundtrack, realistic acting (especially for that time/era), improvisation from so many angles with a side order of plot. The color scheme was great I have always been a fan of greens, browns and other earth colors in movies. There was so much truth to the plot such as jealous small town locals getting away with murder, hippie campsites in the middle of nowhere( usually ran by whacked out alpha male chauvinist). This is one of the most important films (as far as American culture goes) I feel.

I love DVD extras especially for movies that were filmed way before DVD technology came about. They can be insightful and offer a different perspective on the film. Only once though during the extras did someone admit that the whole free-love movement was just another dimension of male dominance. This is only relevant to one scene in the film, but it's refresshing to see that - at least one - of the participants in the film have grown.
