Low key, realistic look at labor issues, mental health in a believable family. Main character's husband is one of the most supportive husbands I've seen in recent movies..

Bit different from other Dardenne films I have seen. There are the usual ethical puzzles to wrestle with, but the ambience is a bit more upscale and prosperous than the Belgian rustbelt in which their earlier films take place. Characters ate pizza instead of waffles. Perhaps, that is why the Dardennes could employ major star Marion Coutillard instead of relying on virtual unknowns. Yes, some of their discoveries like Jeremie Renier and Deborah Francois have become well established, but they were raw beginners when the Dardennes first cast them. And despite the despair, there is always a ray of hope at the end. Another winner from two of the most interesting movie makers active today.
