Synopsis

Like Primer, this low-profile sci-fi thriller accomplishes a lot with little. Sam Rockwell plays a lonely spaceman in the last year of his stint on a lunar outpost. He is all alone, save for the company of GERTY, a HAL-like talking computer, and whomever else his fraying psyche conjures up. "A mesmerizing mindbender" (Rolling Stone). Filmed during a major writer's strike, this feature debut from director Duncan Jones (son of David "The Man Who Fell to Earth" Bowie) takes advantage of great, but underemployed tech talent, like production designer Tony Noble (Oliver Twist) and composer Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream).

Duncan Jones---Great Britian---2009---97 mins.

Moon is an excellent example of fine science fiction that delves into the questions raised by things that might be. There is no violence, no gadgets. If you enjoy good science fiction I think you will like this film

Moon is proof that you don't have to spend millions to make a good film. This film kept me on edge without a single alien monster in site.
