Synopsis

Hitchcock's remake of his 1934 British classic stars James Stewart and Doris Day as an innocent American couple caught up in a web of international intrigue, kidnapping and assassination. Many prefer the original (and you can''t help but miss Peter Lorre) but this version has plenty to offer, including a terrific performance by Stewart, Robert Burks'' impressive color cinematography, Day singing the Oscar-winning "Que Sera, Sera," and the brilliantly executed Royal Albert Hall assassination scene. Alfred Hitchcock---USA---1956---120 mins.
