If you see the film during three decades, does your opinion appropriately change or age like fine wine? What is the TV presenter's responsibilities, having research teams who can look into the trajectory of the works and possible works of directors working during the 1960's during the era of the Kennedy presidential era? What about all of director Otto Preminger's works set in the South during the 1960's? What are assessments of Andy Griffith's work in comparison with all of Civil Rights events leading up to the different riots in the latter part of the decade. Weren't the problems of the potential of television foreseen in the 1940's? Aren't some of the commentators on Fox News deconstructing the daily news in a variety of special, cultural interests in addition to "conservatists who smoke marajuana and wear coat and tie to work" and are Colbert believers, while Lonesome Roads' dissipation can be seen as another fall in the relationship between Southern political elites & populism (sum, "liberalism") at a key historical juncture in American History? The film could possibly be compared to Roeg's Insignificance and Altman's Nashville.
